Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Description: Ubuntu jaunty (development branch)
Release: 9.04
firefox-3.0

Firefox takes a lot more time shutting down than it used to on my 8.10. When I shut it down it takes at least 5 seconds to shut down. While it is shutting down I can hear/see a rise in disk activity. I also nearly always get the "wait/force quit" dialog when shutting down firefox.
I am not the only one as it is discussed in this thread: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1018941

I think I'm experiencing this too, but it's not very reproducible. Does this occur every time you shut down FF or only sometimes?

For me it only seems to happen when I don't expect it... haven't found a trigger yet.
