Bug Description

Hello,

tried to upgrade 8.10 to 9.04 with 'update-manager -d' like proposed at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/jaunty/beta . However, this fails with a message like 'upgrade failed because of blacklisted version python2.6-2.6.1-1ubuntu8' . As indicated I also send content of /var/log/dist-upgrade .

Cheers, aanno

Hhmm,

perhaps I encountered the same problem as in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/b43-fwcutter/+bug/352317 ? But the 'update-manager part' is fixed?!?! Got the same error on 2009-04-05!

Confused, aanno

affects: ubuntu → update-manager (Ubuntu)

Thanks for your bugreport.

This is a safeguard measure to ensure that no broken python version gets installed. your mirror was probably out of date. If this is still a problem, please reopen and tell me what mirror you are using.
