Bug Description

I'm using Kubuntu Jaunty.

VPN connections doesn't work and has multiple problems:
1) "Network connections" dialog box forgets the "gateway" and other settings when you close it.
2) "Only use VPN Connection for these addresses" doesn't let you enter the addresses.
3) No place to enter the password
4) Can't rename the connection - it always shows up as "New VPN Connection"
5) When you try to connect, nothing happens - no questions, no error messages.

affects: ubuntu → plasma-widget-network-manager (Ubuntu)

I have the same issues. Specifically this is for the VPNC connection. I don't think OpenVPN connections have this issue.

1) forgets the gateway
2) forgets the GroupName
3) can't edit any text fields on the "Optional Information" tab (user name, domain, etc)
4) I CAN edit the connection name, so this is not an issue for me.

Changed in plasma-widget-network-manager (Ubuntu):

Interesting is, that the network manager suggests vpnc or openvpn even if none are installed.
But for vpnc- which I normally use - I have the same issues as Alan mentioned above, even when vpnc 0.5.3 is installed.
I also use an up to date Jaunty version (Intel Corporation Wireless WiFi Link 5300).
