Bug Description

When logging in on a freshly installed Ubuntu 9.04 beta (running on VirtualBox running on 8.10), I get a message that service discovery is disabled because of a .local domain. If I move mouse pointer on the message, it starts flashing (visible, invisible) annoyingly.

Looks like I have had to remove the virtual hard disk to make space for the actual upgrade, so I cannot get a screenshot.

Anyway, it is one of those Ubuntu messages you get in the top right corner of your screen*, the ones that should turn transparent, almost invisible when you move your mouse on them. On VirtualBox, it keeps flashing as if it couldn't decide if the mouse is on it or not.

I did not test it on other cases than the avahi message, so it might be the same with all similar messages, not just the avahi one, which would mean the package on this report would be wrong. I'll see if I can make space to install Ubuntu 9.04 on VirtualBox again and test more.

No problem, I just wanted to check it was an OSD problem. Reassigning to notify-osd.
