Bug Description

After upgrade KDE 4.2.1 to 4.2.2 in Jaunty beta, System Monitor - Temperature plasmoid started to show incorrect values. Eventhough the value in /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THM0/temperature is correct and the plasmoid is set up to show temperature from there, it shows 0 or 1 °C. See attached screenshot. Removing widget and adding it again doesn't help.

In KDE 4.3.0/Kubuntu Karmic Alpha 4, the System Monitor - Temperature plasmoid reports the incorrect temperature in Fahrenheit. A temperature of 33 C (as per /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THM0/temperature and the Bubblemon plasmoid) is shown as 50.3 F, e.g.

Nice. Mine reports 57F while /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THM/temperature reports 43C. Not even close :)

It has been fixed upstream in trunk. I will see if it can get backported w/o patching for 4.3.4 hopefully.

still having this problem on karmic, the gauge costantly reads 54.2 F. Besides, I wonder why the temperature is displayed in Fahrenheit degrees instead of Celsius.

KDE 4.3.4 is out now; I think it'd be best to just let this go, as KDE 4.4 will be released before anybody gets around to doing an SRU for Karmic. :P
