Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager

Hi,

I just gave jaunty beta a try on a freshly installed notebook. Until now, I always tried to avoid network manager and did all that stuff manually. Now I tried the latest version.

NM allows to configure mobile broadband services, but does not allow to specify a mobile phone or a ppp device. It seems to find its devices by magic.

However, If I connect my Nokia 6110 Navigator with a USB cable, it takes some tiiiiiiiiiime, and when the /dev/ttyACM0 appears, NM offers to connect to the internet trough the device. nice. works.

But then, if I connect the same phone with bluetooth through the graphical gnome interface, the mobile is detected, PINs are exchanged, I can even access files on the mobile, but Network Manager ignores it. I guess that the reason is that /dev/rfcomm? does not appear and maybe that's what the NM is waiting for. Maybe it would help to configure the /etc/bluez/rfcomm.conf, but that's against the idea of graphical configuration.

regards
Hadmut
