UserGroups:
Looking at the SleepLog.txt we can see that we were waiting on the suspend to complete:
/usr/ lib/pm- utils/sleep. d/75modules suspend suspend: success. lib/pm- utils/sleep. d/90chvt suspend suspend:
/usr/
We can see that the chvt is still running and has been for at least two minutes:
root 4269 4172 0 17:36 ? 00:00:00 /bin/sh /usr/lib/ pm-utils/ sleep.d/ 90chvt suspend suspend d/K20apport sto
root 4277 4269 0 17:36 ? 00:00:00 chvt 63
[...]
root 4755 4687 0 17:38 ? 00:00:00 /bin/sh /etc/rc0.
p
Note that the symtoms as seen by the user are that they selected suspend but the
y ended up at the gdm login screen. This implies that the X server may have exi
ted in response to the chvt leading to the login and to the hung chvt.
As the chvt appears hung. Marking this duplicate of bug #352178 and will push t
his discription over.
