Bug Description

Binary package hint: librsvg2-bin

Otherwise identical symptoms as in bug #23264 (xlink:href images do not get rendered), but in Ubuntu Server 8.04.2 AMD64. The desktop distro (also 8.04.2, AMD64) doesn't suffer from this.

Using package 2.22.2-2

SVGs that contain an <image> tag such as <image xlink:href="http://www.google.si/intl/en_com/images/logo_plain.png" x="0" y="0" width="276" height="110"/> do not get rendered with the linked to image.

Also confirmed same problem on: Ubuntu Server 7.10 x86 and Ubuntu Server 7.10 AMD64.

In Firefox, etc, the SVG renders properly.

1. Happens each and every time, given you are testing on a Ubuntu Server distro.
2. Steps:
  $ wget http://pritisni.ctrl-alt-del.si/slikce/broken%20353975.svg
  $ rsvg broken\ 353975.svg test.png
  open test.png
  on server distros it is blank (wrong)
  on workstations it contains Google logo (correct)
3. Do not have an installation handy, but easily reproducible so someone who has those please try.

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue? Please have a look at http://www.ubuntu.com/download to know how to install that version.Thanks in advance.
