Bug Description

Binary package hint: brasero

When burning dvds > 2GiB with brasero (2.26.0-0ubuntu2), progress information works normal until it reaches 2GiB. Then it jumps back to 0GiB and stays there for a while.

After a while (probably at 3GiB?) it starts working again, but shows less than 1GiB.

Here you are. Notice that writing speed is also not reported correctly.

same here! the first time this happened, I thought it had "freezed/crashed", so I canceled the burning and lost a DVD :(
but after, I tried again (with a little more patience) and the burning process concluded successfully, even with the progress bar stuck in 0%: this could be very confusing to newbies!

I'm having the same problem and have no idea how to fix it. Sometimes it doesn't even display the writing speed, everything goes blank.

http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=582261 seems to track this bug in gnome.

It seem to hit the integer limit (about 2 gig) and the progress bar will start again from zero if your burn is over twice this limit (about 4.2 gig).
