Please sync wesnoth (1:1.6a-2) from Debian unstable (main)

Binary package hint: wesnoth

Wesnoth 1.6
Icon name in XDG menu entries for game and editor don't match icon file names. The desktop files indicate a .png extension but the icons are .xpm instead. I think the correct fix is to convert the xpm to png format.

When I tried to correct the problem by adding png versions of the files to /usr/share/applications it still didn't work. The menu entries don't include paths and it appears that the Gnome desktop is looking for them in /usr/share/icons. Within that directory are a pair of broken symlinks to the files in /usr/share/games/wesnoth/images but they are not there.

 Yes, I was noticed about the broken icon symlinks today on IRC - and in
fact am already building a fixed package that I plan to upload to Debian
unstable later tonight and ask for sync request afterwards (or rather,
prod my ubuntu fellows to do it because I don't know the procedures
about that). I expect there to be no problems, the changes only fix the
missing icons, no other things were done to the sources.

 Sorry for the inconvenience - and as I am already building the package
I won't start to add the LP closes message into the changelog, I hope it
is fine to state that it will be closed with the version 1:1.6a-2.

 Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for the bugreport so I can
point the ubuntu release managers to the problem directly. ;)
