Bug Description
I notice two big problems with the desktop icon distibuted with ppracer.
1) The name: planetpenguin-
2) The tooltip is out of place with the rest of the game launchers, "fast single player arcade game". All of the GNOME game tooltips are verbs (ie "Play the casio card game Blackjack", "Guide a worm around a puzzle"). Perhaps this should be "Race a penguin down a mountain"
Is there some sort of standard for desktop icons like this? I am very pleased that much work has been put into main to have more descriptive and more consistant launchers, but what about universe? Perhaps a wiki page should be written about a standard way to write tooltips and titles for desktop entries.

Hi,
thanks for reporting this.
there is a standard for desktop menu-entries (as defined in .desktop-files): standards. freedesktop. org/desktop- entry-spec/ latest/ standards. freedesktop. org/desktop- entry-spec/ latest/ ar01s04. html)
http://
(and esp.: http://
however it's not that verbose that the tooltip should be a sentence starting with a verb (though the example does).
There also is a wiki-page at least referencing desktop-files: https:/ /wiki.ubuntu. com/MOTU/ Packages/ NoDesktopFile, however it doesn't give detailed guidelines for the actual content apart from "look at other gnome packages".
Maybe you could raise this on the ubuntu-desktop mailing-list, as they should know best about desktop-files.
For ppracer: I'll update the package with your suggestions.
Cheers,
Stefan.
