compiz.real crashed while using Scale plugin

Binary package hint: compiz-core

While using the Scale plugin, compiz.real crashed. apport window showed up, but it was not clickable and windows had no borders. The same type of crash has happened every day since Ubuntu 9.04 beta was installed, but on those occasions, the system always reverted to metacity.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

It's no longer an issue for ME, although I'm not using Ubuntu's default intel driver for Jaunty anymore (if the problem was there).

I've recently found an easy way you crash compiz while using scale.

While on Workspace 1.
Hit F3 (my keyboard shortcut to activate Scale). All the windows show up the way they are supposed to.

Now hit Super+2 (my keyboard shortcut to move to Workspace 2).

Expected results:
  - Scales goes away
  - The cube moves to workspace 2.

Current results:
  - Compiz crashes.

I am using Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04 with Compiz with Scale, Scale Addons, Scale Window Title Filter, Desktop Cube, Rotate Cube, Viewport Switcher, Expo and Show Desktop.

I don't know which file to upload to help you out.

Can anyone reproduce this bug?

Closing bug as fixed as a driver update appears to have fixed the problem.
