Bug Description

Binary package hint: quicksynergy

I recently installed the beta of 9.04 on my desktop and my laptop and am not able to use synergy on the client. The mouse on the client is stuck in the top right hand corner of the desktop, same goes for quicksynergy and synergy. Both clients are the most recent (0.9 for quicksynergy and whatever is current in the repos for synergy). I also cannot have my Arch linux box connect to the server.

FIrst of all, quicksynergy is a graphical frontend for synergy. It has nothing to do with actual network connections. In addition to that, jaunty only ships quicksynergy 0.8. If you installed quicksynergy from a third party source, it is not supported. Finally, your report lacks information. If you want people to be able to help, please provide synergyc and synergys debug traces for both clients and server (see man synergys/c).

Thank you,

The synergy does not work in my ubuntu 9.04(release). Last week(9.04 beta version) it worked well.

Attached my configuration and synergy log. If there is any other information for debugging this issue, please let me know. Thanks.

@Alex:

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test a current, supported, Ubuntu version. If you can test it, and it is still an issue, we would appreciate if you could upload updated logs by running apport-collect 352042, and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
