Cannot eject CD

Bug Description

After mounting the CD to try to install moto racer under wine. I am unable to unmount the CD physically.
I can unmount the cd from the Desktop but I cannot physically get the drive door to open.
No other applications are running that could possibly be locking the CD drive.

So I therefore can only conclude this is a bug.

Please try the command 'eject -v' in a terminal, and paste the resulting output in your reply.
Thanks in advance.

I have all the lastest updates installed as of the time of posting and the issue is still present.

Here is the terminal stuff and still no eject.

joseph@AMD-Ubuntu:~$ eject -v
eject: using default device `cdrom'
eject: device name is `cdrom'
eject: expanded name is `/dev/cdrom'
eject: `/dev/cdrom' is a link to `/dev/sr1'
eject: `/dev/sr1' is not mounted
eject: `/dev/sr1' is not a mount point
eject: `/dev/sr1' is not a multipartition device
eject: trying to eject `/dev/sr1' using CD-ROM eject command
eject: CD-ROM eject command succeeded

Further information I have a is

The eject works on a DVD burner drive, so it may look like a hardware specific or CD reader only.

The model of the CD drive is Compaq CDR-8484B (ACP6) 48X

Also the cd is a windows game called moto racer (original silver cd). Its data layout is mixed format containing both data and audio.

Does the CD Drive eject if a different CD is used (for example, an audio CD or a blank CD-R)?

I have checked the following as of the 3-4-08 all latest updates with Jaunty 9.04

CD-R Blank - does not mount but is manually ejectable.
CD - DATA Silver cd - mount's automatically and un-mount's right click command eject volume, then ejects automatically. Unable to eject manually.
CD - MUSIC Silver cd - mount's automatically and un-mount's right click command eject volume, then ejects automatically. Able to eject manually by pressing drives eject button.
CD-R with data - mount's automatically and un-mount's right click command eject volume, then ejects automatically. Unable to eject manually.

On a DVD in the same machine I am able to always eject manually.

There seems to be a problem on CD-ROM drive being unable to eject manually on data silver, cd-r, and mixed mode cd.
