Bug Description
The French translation of the Smoothing parameter ("Adoucissement"), in the pencil tool control bar, doesn't fit in its slot.
Therefore when I change the value, I get a strange behaviour, as shown in the two attached screen captures.
I've tried with other languages (Russian, Spanish, and Dutch), but they all use a shorter word, and don't have this bug.
Is it possible to enlarge the slider zone? Or have it dynamically adapt to the text?
Noticed in build 21016 (SVN), Ubuntu 8.10, but probably older.
Works well with Windows XP and Vista.

As it seems to be related to the string's length, I think the easiest way to get rid of the bug it to change the translation. We're currently trying to find a shorter replacement.
