Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

Hi,

When installing the Ubuntu 9 beta from CD, I had partitioned my hard disk manually. This involved resizing the Windows partition down to make space for Ubuntu. I did this using gparted, outside the installation process.

When it came to installing Ubuntu, although "Use largest available free space" was an option (and not greyed out), clicking the radio button had no effect. It did not become selected. I had to partition manually to get the installation to proceed.

Apologies for not having logs to hand, but can provide further information from installed system if it helps.
