[X300] Randomly, the texts and backgrounds on plasma widgets start to disappear

Bug Description

Sometimes, all of sudden, texts on the task manager and other widgets disappear, backgrounds of widgets disappear and then, plasma restarts without any crash dialog. Disappearing may happen in several steps, e.g. texts on some widgets disappear and, after few seconds, other widget. See attached screenshots: bug_plasma1.png is corrupted desktop, bug_plasma2.png is correct desktop after restart.

Not sure if it's a plasma bug, but as no crash dialog appears, I don't know how to identify source of the problem.

Could you attach the output of lspci -vvnn (two v's, not a w) and a copy of /var/log/Xorg.0.log please? Thanks.

I think the files included are fine. :)
I believe that this would be a problem with the radeon graphics drivers that your graphics card uses, so I will reassign this bug accordingly.

I second this bug--I've seen corruption very similar to the screenshot posted.

I see the same symptoms using the "radeon" driver with my Radeon X1550. This is with Jaunty upgraded to KDE 4.2.4.

Don't understand why this was marked as a duplicate of bug 343944. The symptoms are not the same. I see no memory leak as described in that bug.
