Screen flickers to desktop when showing a notification in fullscreen

Bug Description

Under the current Ubuntu 9.04 beta this problem seems to be occurring in any application that can run in fullscreen.

Essentially when an application is running in fullscreen and you recieve a notification in the new notification boxes, the screen flickers back to the desktop. I checked to see if it simply made the fullscreen application disappear rather than simply showing the desktop, by leaving other windows behind it and am pretty certain this is whats going on.

I unfortunately have no idea what package contains the problem and so am probably usless in the process of fixing. It seems more of an aesthetic thing than anything, and doesn't cause any crashing or anything.

Fairly simple to reproduce, put an application into fullscreen and change the system volume, or get someone to send you a message via pidgin, or anything else that would trigger a notification.

Ian.
