I have tried to deactivate Ubuntu modifications module.
Then to reboot, but with apparently no changes to the problem.

Hi,

I have the same problem. The address is not displayed. Also google search window is not deleted when I open new tab. I would expect so. Another problem is connected with back and forward arrows which do not work at all.

I have tried to reinstall (complete removal) firefox and all packages which depend on it but without success.

Please see screenshot.

If you need more info please let me know how to get it.

Peter

Thanks supiik, you are recalling me that I forgot to say how I made this problem go away for me.

I did a:
rm -R ~/.mozilla/firefox/*
to remove all local files configuration for the current user.
And the problem is since then gone.
Eh... that's probably not the right way to do it...
Maybe I should have just type in a terminal window:
$ firefox -ProfileManager

I think I did backup the files before, to be able to figure out which one causing trouble...
But eh... guess I lost it. Not caring much since no one had confirmed my bug.

Marking my own bug as Invalid, becoming very old, was cleared by removing cache files, and never rehappened.

Changed in firefox-3.0 (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid
