Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
ubuntu 9.04 beta
Manual partitioning > click on several partitions, choose one to resize (modify the size), click OK, click "next" button.
A few seconds after, a window appears, saying there is an I/O error (that is correct, my HDD is having problems). There are 3 buttons (retry, ignore abort, if I remember correctly), I choose "abort", the windows closes.
I thought the formating was canceled, I was about to reboot when I realized that the HDD LED was still on, and that the partitioning was not canceled.
I would expect the formating to stop if I click "abort" in this error window.

It sounds like this had to do with using libparted to resize, and it threw this error message. We no longer use libparted to resize, so I think this no longer applies. I have tried to reproduce it under a vm simulating errors and can't.
