Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-terminal
When I press CTRL-C in gnome-terminal, it isn't sent through to the shell. I *do* have CTRL-C setup as a keyboard shortcut for copy. However, in previous versions of gnome-terminal, this only caught the event when text was highlighted in the terminal window, allowing CTRL-C to be used for both copy and to interrupt a program.
Expected behaviour:
1) Change the default keyboard shortcut for copy (Shift+Ctrl+V) to Ctrl+C
2a) When text is highlighted, Ctrl+C should run the keyboard shortcut for copy
2b) When no text is highlighted, Ctrl+C should be passed to the shell
This is the previous behaviour in gnome-terminal prior to upgrading to jaunty.
ProblemType: Bug
Architecture: i386
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04
ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/
Package: gnome-terminal 2.26.0-0ubuntu1
ProcEnviron:
LANG=en_GB.UTF-8
SHELL=/bin/bash
SourcePackage: gnome-terminal
Uname: Linux 2.6.28-11-generic i686
I confirm this too.
Ctrl+C doesn't stop the process. I'm using Ctrl+Alt+C instead.
But it worked in previous versions (Intrepid, Gutsy, Feisty).
