Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

Why is Evolution's status bar so big and bulky? It looks out of place and wrong, I see it has the capability for a user to cancel some kind of event, but this could be equally useful in a smaller/normal size status bar, this just looks really odd.

Hi Sebastien, I've attached another screenshot, it really is only a cosmetic thing, I don't ever recall evolution's status bar being so big and bulky looking.

Also please! tell me how do I list bugs that I have created? I login to launchpad.net I've tried going to bugs, going to my profile and I cannot find anywhere how to access bugs that I have reported.

if I type in manually http://bugs.launchpad.net/~lee-a-connell it shows me my bugs, but if I didn't know that URL, how am I suppose to navigate to my open bugs?

Actually, I have two very important questions which are extremely aggravating when trying to help ubuntu by reporting bugs.

launchpad: how do you report a bug and tell it what version of the software you are reporting against?
launchpad: how do you view all bugs you reported or are watching?
launchpad: how do you search bugs on a specific software 'version'?
launchpad: when i do report a bug, why can't i add my tags in the initial report? I have to go back into the bug and edit the tags.

Sorry for my ranting and this is suppose to be about this particular evolution bug, but it's frustrating.

the screenshot shows that the different is a small cosmetic one and should be sent to bugzilla.gnome.org

those questions are off topic there, replying quickly though

click on your name in the top right screen corner

you can use apport or write it in the description

> launchpad: how do you view all bugs you reported or are watching?

click on your name again

> launchpad: how do you search bugs on a specific software 'version'?

you don't there is no specific version tracking

did you open the bug upstream? may you tell us the bug number or should we go ahead and close this report?

linking the bug you sent upstream: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=580432. As said by an Evolution maintainer this is going to be better as soon as they release the the KillBonobo branch.
