Binary package hint: synaptic

When updating : i got this message in the notification buble.
Never happens before.

E:Could not open file /var/cache/apt/srcpkgcache.bin - open (13 permissions denied)
E:The package lists or statuts file could not be parsed or opened.

Is that problem reproducable? Did you run syaptic as root (or via sudo/gksu)?

I still have the same problem.
I run the update-manager via graphic interface.

since i moved to 9.10 i have not had this problem any more,
