Bug Description

Hello,

NVIDIA driver version 1.0.8178 includes library libnvidia-cfg.so.1.0.8178. The current nvidia-glx package in dapper doesn't include this library in the deb, even though it's in the NVIDIA installer. nvidia-xconfig fails in certain circumtances without this library, eg. when running with command line option -a:

$ nvidia-xconfig -a

WARNING: error opening libnvidia-cfg.so.1: libnvidia-cfg.so.1: cannot open
         shared object file: No such file or directory.

ERROR: Unable to determine number of GPUs in system; cannot honor
       '--enable-all-gpus' option.

Using X configuration file: "/etc/X11/xorg.conf".
Backed up file '/etc/X11/xorg.conf' as '/etc/X11/xorg.conf.backup'
New X configuration file written to '/etc/X11/xorg.conf'

This would probably be fixed by adding line

usr/lib/tls/libnvidia-cfg.so.@@VERSION@@ usr/lib/tls/libnvidia-cfg.so.1

to debian/nvidia-glx.links.in of the source package and rebuilding the package.

Looks like this has regressed in the Intrepid beta, package nvidia-glx-173 173.14.12-1-0ubuntu3.
