Bug Description
Binary package hint: kdebase
When a USB drive is mounted by kde, the policy settings in HAL are ignored.
I am trying to have usb drives mounted with the shortname=winnt mount option.
HAL supports this by merging volume.
Gnome correctly applies this policy, and the drive is mounted with the requested mount option. KDE ignores it.
Over the course of my troubleshooting, I discovered that KDE appears to ignore any policy properties set in this manner (for example, it will not honor the desired_mount_point property).
Running Ubuntu + KDE 8.10
HAL 0.5.1
KDE 4.2.0

Hi there!
Thanks for reporting this bug! Your bug seems to be a problem with the KDE program itself, and not with our KDE packages. While we appreciate your issue, it would be better if it was tracked at https:/ /bugs.kde. org, so that the KDE developers can deal with this speedily and have direct communication with you as the reporter for more effective debugging.
Thanks!
