glxgears -fullscreen doesn't listen for ESC

Bug Description

If I start glxgears, I can press ESC to close the window.

If I start glxgears -fullscreen, nothing happens if I press ESC.

I have the same problem. Ctrl+Z only makes it stop and I can't get it to close :[

This is another issue. The focus is still on the terminal, that's why this works. Try this:

1. Switch to VT1 (<Ctrl><Alt><F1>)
2. Log in using the same username/password as you already did for $YOUR_DESKTOP
3. Start glxgears from here: DISPLAY=:0 glxgears -fullscreen

In this case the window is not closable - which is a bug.

Seems to be fixed in 7.10, at least with compiz.
