Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebase

On Kubuntu Jaunty x64 running on my Dell Vostro 1500 laptop, the "Dim display when idle for more that x min" option in the PowerDevil configuration options does not work right. I have it set to dim the display after 1min of inactivity. It does properly dim the display, but it does not brighten it correctly when I touch the touchpad or type of the keyboard. Instead it takes about 5-10 seconds (but a different amount of time every time) to brighten the display again. I have also noticed that if I am watching a video while this is enabled, the display will dim and brighten at random intervals (caused by CPU usage or disk usage, I think)

affects: kdebase (Ubuntu) → kdebase-workspace (Ubuntu)
