Bug Description

Binary package hint: banshee

I use an SD card to store music to play on my phone, and I'm having trouble getting Banshee to recognize it in Jaunty. I've created an .is_audio_player file, and it shows up in Rhythmbox without a problem, but there's nothing in Banshee. I'm using the integrated reader on a Lenovo SL300.

Is this over a USB connection, or via an integrated card reader? I was recently debugging this issue on my laptop and it looks like the Mass Storage support in banshee is USB only.

It is an integrated reader. I'll edit the original post to reflect this.

I can confirm this in the integrated sd card reader in the Sansa Fuze portable media player.
Banshee recognises the internal memory, yet not the integrated card

I can confirm this also with a BlackBerry Bold, it detects the internal memory, but not the microsd. The OS, Ubuntu 9.04 detects both.

On Lucid using Banshee 1.6.0 both my Sansa Fuze and my Nokia N900 correctly show up any SD card plugged into them. Is it possible for for you to test using a Lucid Beta 1 LiveCD (Banshee should install in such an environment for testing purposes) ?

Same on Lucid with 1.7.3, still works only with USB connection, not integrated reader (which is faster)...
