Firefox Estonian translation available

Binary package hint: firefox

For Firefox the Estonian language is in beta status now. As the translation has been developed for several years it is well tested and mature. Therefore I request it to be included to upcoming Ubuntu.

Please let me know, if there is anything I could do for it.

if its in beta its likely not to be including in Jaunty lets wait until its more mature (release wise)that also doesnt fit into a SRU but i will leave that to Alexander to see what he says on this
he problem i see with this is
1. 3.0 only receives security updates since it is a final release
2. snaeking them in after Jaunty is released that im not sure if we can

Firefox Estonian translation is out of beta now, included in 3.0.8. This can be seen from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html

This is actually in the Karmic Estonian Language Pack now. Firefox 3.0 on Karmic should have Estonian support. Firefox 3.5 support will come with the rest of the languages in Karmic.

I'm closing this second task as Firefox 3.5 language packs are being tracked in bug 407180.

Hi, the language packs are fine now, but the original report (#419507) was about the .desktop file in the firefox-3.5-branding package. Sorry for not clearing that up earlier. Estonian translation for the name and comment fields of firefox.desktop are missing, which cause Firefox's menu entry to be in English, even when everything else (other menu entries as well as the firefox itself) are in Estonian.
I think the patch from the original report should be added to this file: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~mozillateam/firefox/firefox-3.1.head/annotate/head%3A/debian/firefox-3.5-final.desktop

The diff is attached to report #419507, it applies to the version in bazaar just fine.
Abrowser translations seem to go the usual launchpad translations route, I'll see if I can get those done as well.
