Bug Description
In the kubuntu gui installer in jaunty (daily live 24. March), on the last screen, where you can select "Advanced..." to, for instance, opt in the package survey, you can also select the device for grub to be installed on.
But: you can only select a device from a drop-down list, and that drop down list doesn't show all partitions available on the hard drive. (See also Screenshot).
That field should be a free-form text-entry, so you can enter stuff like (hd0, 3) or /dev/sda7 to get grub being installed on another partition and not on the mbr of the hd. This makes sense, because if you have multiple (linux) os, you can use one "main" grub and add chainloader +1 entries to load the "secondary grubs" with their secondary os.
The gtk interface of ubiquity does this quite nicely: Theres the drop-down-list but you can also enter custom text.
