Bug Description
I get an error 17 on the 2.6.17-7 Linux Generic, when updating the "Live USB" that is created when I "Make USB Startup Disk". I thought it was because I wasn't allocating enough disk space but I gave it a persistent 10 gigs, and it still seems to be happening. This will be teh third time I try this.

Title: package linux-image-
The Package manager "gear" icon is always there when I am running this USB disk, but there is no update available when i check, and EVERY method I can think of from Synaptic, to "apt-get autoclean" and even enabling backports and cleaning out residual packages, that one xxx.x.xx.x.x.7 kernel item is still there.
I remember an error message in the update that said something like "I..... (word beginning with "i") is not updatable because this is a Live CD" or something like that; it was DIRECTLYrelated to this kernel (xxx.xx.xx.x-7) issue. I couldn't Cut and paste the words; if I encounter it again I will write it down.
I plan to try this "Live USB" in a different computer later today.
