Some .jpg files not recognized as such when "saving image as"

Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Hi all.

With some images, when I right-click on them and choose "save image as", Firefox does not recognise the file's name and type ; it suggests "url.htm" instead. I have not seen any pattern as to which images are affected ; not all are, only about 1/4, maybe 1/3, all of which have been .jpg so far. For instance, this happens with http://rebbechi.com/8030018_golden_mantled_squirrel_0803.jpg

It has no serious effect since typing "somefilename.jpg" instead of "url.htm" correctly saves the image. It's a bit annoying however.

I use Firefox 3.0.7, with Zotero, Adblock, and Flashblock, under Kubuntu "Hardy Heron".

Cheers !

Very strange. Now I no longer have any problem with the aforementioned image (I had checked several times and the bug WAS there when I posted), but some images still are problematic, for instance http://www.treehugger.com/army_squirrel.jpg
(see attachment)

But at the same time, some other images are not affected, like the one I posted earlier seems to be now, or this one http://www.vi-r-us.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/01/squirrel.jpg or http://www.internet-grocer.net/squirrel2.jpg

But http://www.sogoodblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/best-squirrel-shot.JPG for instance is bugged for me...

And the filename is correct in both the address bar and "element properties"...

Confusing. Is it, you know, a bug that moves ? With its little wings ? And an annoying "bzzzzzzz" sound ?
