Bug Description

Not listed as a dependency but should be. The application wont run without sendmail (or equivalent) running

backuppc wants to send mail for status updates. Either this
needs to be changed, or it gets kicked into universe where it
can depend on 'ssmtp | mail-transport-agent'

Hi,

The package now Recommends a MTA, and so in intrepid this problem
will be fixed for most people.

I'm not closing the bug, as if the package really does require one to
be installed then it should depend on it, rather than recommend it.
