Bug Description

I got this message checking the 'Gparted' item:

--------------
Application 'gparted' not available

The application can not be found in your archive. This usually means that it is not available for your hardware plattform
------------

The problem was in fact that only the Breezy CD was in my repositories list.
The dialog box text was innacurate.

Note also the typo 'plattform': should be 'platform'.

Thanks for your bugreport.

This is still a problem in dapper. The issue here is that from g-a-i point of view the main component from the cdrom is as good as a networked main component. That is why it gives this odd error message.

gnome-app-install (0.4.8-0ubuntu1) gutsy; urgency=low

  * fix detection of missing index files and popup a dialog
    that offers reloading the sources (LP: #3475)
  * debian/control:
    - depend on latest python-apt (for pkgSourceList.List support)
