Bug Description

If my WLAN-Stick is pluged in and I want to login, the system crashes. I see the mouse cursor and I can move it, but nothing happens. I have to reset my computer. Sometimes I see instead a black screen.
If I repeat the restart and login a few times the login work and I can use Ubuntu normaly. It works a few logins, but after a while I have the same problems.
If I unplug the Stick, every login works normaly and I can use everything normaly. When I plug the Stick after the login. I can futher use everything.
The system only crashes, when the WLAN Stick is pluged at the beginning.

Wlan Stick drivers: zd1211

thank you for your bug report, is the issue specific to gdm? can you boot using the text option and then run startx after login and see if it works differently?

Hi der-edle-ritter,

Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn`, and attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log (and maybe Xorg.0.log.old) file from after reproducing this issue. If you've made any customizations to your /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well.

I've posted a new version of the -nvidia driver to our xorg-edgers PPA,
would you mind testing it either on Jaunty or Karmic and see if it
resolves this bug?
