yeah, the screensaver likes to start while im in the middle of a game of armagetron...

That bug should be filed against gnome-screensaver.

It's not as urgent as other applications, and armagetron is not in main, so it's not a showstopper for gnome-screensaver. OTOH, if time permits, it would be a nice thing to fix.

 Bug #32457 has a more general description. However, my understanding was that for gnome-screensaver, bugs should be filled against each application, since the fix has to be committed in each application, not in gnome-screensaver (unless it's games built with SDL, in which case the fix would work for all of them).

FWIW, armagetron does use SDL, see its "Depends" and the ouput of ldd on the binary.

It's my understanding that only one bug report against sdl should be filed. However, I can't find any reported atm, and I don't think I'm technicall enough to write a good bug report against gnome-screensaver and sdl games. Anyone could either write it, or let me know what informations I should add?

When somebody fixes that bug, it should affect many games, so it's worth researching.

gnome-screensaver also kicks in during frozen-bubble (was playing in full-screen mode, if that makes a difference). the game uses the keyboard, not the mouse.
