Stuck in setup procedure

debian-installer (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

I have downloaded the latest Desktop and alternate CD of Kubuntu. And when I want to install it on my laptop, everything works well up to the part of the setup where I can choose in what language I would like to proceed.
Nothing really happens I cannot move around nor does the mouse respond to anything.
The funny thing is that I have an old 6.10 CD from Kubuntu and I installed that on the laptop without a problem.
If you need more details I'll be happy to answer them for you.
