Bug Description

This is using Dapper Flight 5 + updates.

When a screensaver starts, the screen brightness is set to the default for the current power type (battery vs AC), regardless of manual adjustment by the user. This is a very annoying effect.

I could not reproduce this. This is an HP laptop.

I am using the 'deco' screensaver with a 1 minute activation period. Tried with the screen set to minimum brightness, then to maximum. The screensaver did not alter the brightness.

I still have this bug with the latest Dapper updates. If gnome-screensaver kicks in and I have manually adjusted my screen brightness to be something other than the default set in the Gnome Power Manager, the display is reset to whatever is selected in Gnome Power Manager.

This is on a Sony laptop.
