Huge font in thunderbird and skype windows

Upon last update of Jaunty Jackalope (2009-03-19) the font in Thunderbird and skype windows became huge, while they remained correct for other applications (OpenOffice, pidgin, firefox, gnome-terminal). See screenshot attached.

Of course it shouldn't be like that, but out of curiosity, did you try setting the desktop font sizes? We might want to clarify if this is a problem with the font settings for your specific language.

Please right click on the desktop and click "Change Desktop Background", then click on the "Fonts" tab at the top.

You should see a list of fonts and font-sizes which you can configure for your desktop, windows, and menus there.

Maybe you can try playing with the sizes to see if that helps. Attached is an example image of how my font's are configured.

Hi Brendon,

I guess I should have figured out the source of the problem...I'm
feeling pretty stupid right now. It was just that some of the fonts had
been set to 13.33 in the preferences>appearance>font menu. What
confused me is that only some of the fonts were changed to 13.333, while
others remained at 10. This lead most applications to be perfectly fine
(including firefox), and only two (thunderbird and skype) to display
huge fonts. Sort of thought it had to be something complicated, if two
mozilla programs reacted so differently. Sorry for the rather
inappropriate bug post. And thank you for your kind and polite reply!
