Bug Description
Binary package hint: f-spot
I have found that F-spot acts differently if you import pictures from the dialog when you plug in your camera compared to if you start F-spot manually, then choose Photo > Import.
In case #1 you get filenames with lower case (dsc010101.jpg) + permissions set to 644.
In case #2 you get filenames which are untouched (DSC010101.JPG) + permissions set to 700.
$ apt-cache policy f-spot

Candidate: 0.5.0.3-1ubuntu4

This is related to bug #249230 (which only mentions lower case filenames).
