Bug Description

Hi
This report wont have much of pastes as i do not know what to paste......
The only thing is that dolphin recognizes my external USB drives but not my CD ROM,it simply does not detect it being mounted or inserted.
Nautilus recognizes the CD and mounts it easily without any hassles, due to which i have been forced to use GNOME.
KDE does not even detect my CD being insert, etc
I also use powertop which disables hal,so maybe hal is not working properly.
But on a test login the CD does not mount either.

i expected the CD to be shown in the devices list in dolphin like my USB drive

I use Kubuntu 8.10 + KDE 4.2 + GNOME + Xfce

Edit : I posted my fstab
Thanks
