Bug Description
Binary package hint: network-manager
The default AT initialization string fails with this 3g modem. NM sends "ATZ E0 V1 X4 &C1 +FCLASS=0" but only gets "ERROR" and there is no config file to modify this string.
The modem works well with wvdial but I have to use only a "ATZ" command to initialize it.
I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 with Netwok-Manager 0.7
pablo@pablito:~$ apt-cache policy network-manager

Is there a chance to get NM 0.7.1 on Ubuntu 8.10?
does 0.7.1 from jaunty work for you?
