Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace

i am using an up-to-date intrepid

i am using gnome, but plasma seems to rock, so i gave it a try... it runs reasonably, but there are some problems, e.g. the system tray widget is rendered incorrectly when placed on the desktop (marked "B" on attached screenshot)

Yeah, this is a general problem with system tray widgets placed outside a Plasma panel. The situation has improved in KDE 4.2, but it's still not perfect.

Hi there!

Thanks for reporting this bug! Your bug seems to be a problem with the KDE program itself, and not with our KDE packages. But don't worry! This issue is being tracked by the KDE developers at: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=175674
Once fixed in KDE, it will be included in Kubuntu once the KDE version the fix is in in reaches Kubuntu.
