Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-icon-theme

In Jaunty, Human, GNOME and Tangerine icon themes use upstream OpenOffice.org icons for OpenDocument types, while they should use their themed document icons, which are used for e.g. MS Office ones. Actually, the problem is only in the GNOME theme, and affects Human because of its inheriting from Tangerine, which in turn inherits from GNOME (shouldn't it be Tango anyway?!).

This is because new symbolic links have been added for every size in mimetypes/application-vnd.oasis.*, pointing to openofficeorg3-oasis-* files in the same dirs. These icons and links are not needed since these MIME types should be handled using the gnome-mime-application-vnd.oasis.* links that already exist for some time in the packages. It would be interesting to see how these useless links have been introduced... :-)
