Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
Trying to install a clean Alpha 6 AMD64 live build onto my system, Ubiquity appeared to crash and then I was exited to GDM with an automatic login timer counting down. Then I was re-logged in with no explanation as to what was going on.
Digging further I noticed this in my syslog:
Mar 13 08:24:13 ubuntu console-
Mar 13 08:24:13 ubuntu ubiquity: /usr/share/
Mar 13 08:24:13 ubuntu ubiquity: self.message = message

Mar 13 08:24:14 ubuntu python: log-output -t ubiquity umount /target/cdrom

It seems this code 141 HwDetect failure results in being booted to GDM and then being logged in again.
Attached is all of my syslog.

Marked as regression potential as previous Alpha live cd releases have installed ok.
