Bug Description

Binary package hint: gtk-sharp2

Depends: gtk-sharp2-examples, gtk-sharp2-gapi, libglib2.0-cil, libgtk2.0-cil, libglade2.0-cil,
monodoc-gtk2.0-manual

Package gtk-sharp2 should only suggest the documentation packages:
gtk-sharp2-examples
monodoc-gtk2.0-manual

Otherwise, people have to download (sometimes or most of the cases) unnecessary doc packages.
I believe that it runs fine with the doc manuals.

Jo Shields (directhex) wrote :

gtk-sharp2 is a metapackage to pull in all the files produced by the gtk-sharp2 source package. It's intentionally pulling in the docs.

"normal" people will have their dependencies resolved automatically - which means that they'd only ever have libgtk2.0-cil et al unless they went out of their way

Changed in gtk-sharp2 (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid
Changed in gtk-sharp2 (Debian):
status: Unknown → Fix Released
