kerning in other units

it's not a bug, but an important, missing function to change the distance of the characters (how do you say? text spacing? kerning? I don't know the right english word) of a text field by input a number, e. g. in percent or in pt. A number that you allways should be able to change.

I have also needed to increase or decrease the distance between text characters, and cannot do so in Inkscape (unless I'm missing something, which is entirely possible). I know Illustrator has this function, but I dislike using AI unless truly pressed to do so...

I'll mark this report as a wishlist because kerning in other units might also be useful
