Bug Description

First try Intrepid 64 bit installation ended with freeze screen during boot. And after adding acpi=off parameter in the installation first menu make me successfully installed it. But it freezed again during the first boot. Alright, maybe I need to edit the menu.lst manually. So then I edit it using LiveCD by doing:
$sudo -s
#mkdir -p /media/hdd
#mount /dev/sda1 /media/hdd
#vim /media/hdd/boot/grub/menu.lst
And add acpi=off in the defoptions directive. Save it and restart it. Guess what? Still freezed. So please help me to make it work. TIA

Optiplex 320 failed to boot no matter the options tried. Finally the user selected Optiplex 330 instead of Optiplex 320. And yes, the intrepid installed and run successfully. I think this will be homework for Ubuntu's developers to solve the problem. And to make Ubuntu availables with all vendors.

See Question # 63659 for further information.
