Bug Description
It may be helpful, when connected to a JPIP server, to have some simple display component or status text to inform the user as to the status of the JPIP connection.
e.g. You could have some text in the lower right corner of the window which says "Connected" in green when all is good, or "Downloading... xx%" .. "Buffering .." when fetching data.
When things go wrong, can use yellow/red text with some informative message like "Cannot connect to server..," "Lost connection" etc.
This way when something seems to stop responding you will know right away if it's a client (Java,etc) error, or if the server is just acting up.
