Bug Description

Binary package hint: xpn

The xpn package in jaunty (1.2.6-1) has an unneeded dependency on python-pysqlite2.

It already depends on python >= 2.5, so the sqlite3 module (which is tried first in the xpn code) is always available in the standard library, and python-pysqlite2 will never be needed.

I have a debdiff attached (hope it's done properly ;) ) which fixes this.

I've also tested XPN after removing python-pysqlite2 and there was no difference in the way it worked afterwards.

Uploaded. Thank you for your contribution. I did have to update the release to karmic and change the maintainer to Ubuntu Developers (the current standard).

Thanks Scott (even if I don't use XPN myself currently, it might help other people).

The release name was because the original debdiff was done against jaunty, but I forgot to subscribe sponsors back then, and now forgot to update it... ;) Maybe the Maintainer field is similar.

I'll try to remember all that & the bug closing stuff in the future.
